Hoy hablaremos de los “quantifier” o cuantificadores más elementales: A lot of/Lots of, (A) few/ (A) Little y Too much/many.

Mira.

LANCELOT: Hey Arty! Listen, I have A LOT OF time. Do you wanna come to the cinema?
ARTHUR: Hi Lancelot! Yes, I will love it. That new superhero movie has MUCH action!
LANCELOT: Movie? I go because of the free popcorn. I will swallow LOTS OF them.
ARTHUR: Eeeeeeehm… not MANY knights could survive to that, could they?
LANCELOT: My mamma is called Elaine, not Arty. So, don’t worry!

TOO MUCH TOO MANY
Pero recuerda que una abundancia negativa, o excesiva se expresa con TOO MUCH (incontables) o TOO MANY (contables). Ambos significarían: DEMASIADO
(ESCENA)
LANCELOT: Hey Arty! Do you wanna come to the cinema?
ARTHUR: No, sorry. I have to do TOO MANY things.
LANCELOT: Come on, King! TOO MUCH work is not good for any ruler!

FEW/LITTLE
(ESCENA)
LANCELOT: Hey Arty! Do you wanna come to the cinema?
ARTHUR: Hi Lancelot! Sorry, I have LITTLE money so I can´t pay the ticket!
LANCELOT: Come on, King! FEW knights wouldn’t pay your ticket. I will get your popcorn in return.

A FEW/A LITTLE
Ahora mira esto.
(ESCENA)
LANCELOT: Hey Arty! Do you wanna come to the cinema?
ARTHUR: Hi Lancelot! Ok, I have A FEW coins so I can pay the ticket!
LANCELOT: Let’s go, King! A LITTLE entertainment is healthy!

Ahí tienes el significado de A FEW or A LITTLE.
